Hanukkah Blessings

Here are the blessings over the candles. Be sure to light the Shamos first. It is the leader used to light the other candles. On the first night you sing all three blessings, but on the other two nights you sing just the first two.

Boruch ato Adonoy, Elohenu meleh ho-olom, asher kid'shonu b'mitzvotov v'tzivonu l'hadlik ner shel Hanukah. Amen

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us by His commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the lights of Hanukkah.


Boruch ato Adonoy, Elohenu meleh ho-olom, she-oso nisim lavoteynu, ba-yomim ho-hem, ba-z'man ha-zeh. Amen

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the universe, who wrought miracles for our fathers in days of old, at this season.


Boruch ato Adonoy, Elohenu meleh ho-olom, she-hekheyonu, v'-kimonu, v'-higionu laz'man ha-ze. Amen

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, and has preserved us, and enabled us to reach this season.
